| Info | Forms a spreading mound of silver blue leaves, white beneath, prominently veined. Silvery-blue with broad ruffled edges. Whitish leaf backs. Low spreading mound. H. 'Babbling Brook' (Vaughn, NR) Breeding potential! This little known hybrid from K. Vaughn's breeding program has received very little notice and even less distribution. My clump is larger than any 'Sum and Substance' clump of the same age in this garden! The pedigree is ('Donahue's Piecrust'x H. pycnophylla)x 'Regal Ruffles' and grows like a weed. Large, silvery, ruffled edged, white backed leaves and easily fertile completes the picture. |
