Info | This hosta is named for Arthur Degnitz, the man completely responsible for Nick being involved with the genus Hosta. This an pollinated seedling of H. yingeri that Art acquired from Chuck Finke. Flower habit is reminiscent of H. kikutii. This is a late blooming species, timing coincides with H. yingeri, H. kikutii var. leuconata, and other late hostas for me. So far, this has never formed seed pods for me. The pollen looks viable but I have not tried it in hybridizing yet. |
