Intensely blue, possible the bluest hosta in cultivation. Heart shaped leaves with heavy substance. Lavender flowers.
This much sought-after Herb Benedict introduction is a result of H 'Dorset Blue' having sex with itself.. thank goodness that's permitted in the hosta world. The intense powder-blue round leaves form a tight 2' wide mound. In late spring the clump is topped with light-lavender flowers.. great among other small hostas.
Heart-shaped, very blue leaves with heavy substance. Lavender flowers on 12" scapes. One of Herb's finest hostas from 'Dorset Blue' selfed.
Perhaps one of the bluest hostas--the heart-shaped leaves exhibit intense color and have great substance while maintaining a neat appearance. Lavender flowers midseason.
