Info | A large blue. It has some of the nicest-shaped leaves we've seen yet in a blue hosta, showing the beautifully "humped" appearance of the largest montana plants. It should put on some real size in the garden and be a great hybridizing plant as well. This looks like one of the most spectacular blues we've seen in a long time. We're pretty excited about this one! Bob had this to say about it: 'Bluetonium' is a 'Big John' selection, very large, intense blue color. Awarded first place national leaf show, produces interesting seedlings. Bluetonium, for you curious souls, is actually the name for an aquamarine-colored glass that includes silver. The glass is just as pretty as the hosta Bob created. |
