|Info||'Blue Mouse Ears' blooms its "cute little head off" displaying a wonderful fancy flower display. However, rarely do any any of the flowers develop into seeds pods for hosta hybridizers to toy with. One year I was lucky to harvest three viable seeds from a single pod from my BME plant. And they grew despite my inept seed starting technique. And they grew nicely in the garden too. I gave two away to friends and kept one. A Hosta Seed Grower friend of mine says to always keep any BME seedlings as they may pass on desirable traits of the parent plant and who knows what|
you might end up with. This BME seedling readily sets viable seeds as attested by hosta seed grower, Reldon Ramsey.
