| Info | Hosta of the Year for 1998 (HOTY). 16" tall. Part Sun to Light Shade. Light green leaves with streaked yellow and white edge. Large, pale , fragrant lavender flowers in early August. Apple green leaves with light yellow irregular margins. Streaked and variegated. Wavy edges. Sun tolerant, pest resistant. Large very fragrant lavender flowers. A medium size green with cream margins. White fragrant flowers. Everyone is already touting this as the finest hosta ever hybridized. This charmer has apple green foliage with a very wide creamy margin. This vigorous grower, eventually to 2' wide, is a must for every hosta garden, with the bonus of very fragrant near white flowers in mid summer. 1998 Hosta of the Year - Apple-green leaves with wide light yellow margins; fragrant white flowers. A vigorous grower, tolerant of some afternoon sun. The original description calls for 'apple green leaves with streaks of yellow and white", but the plants in commerce are margined. Floriferous, with large white flowers (typically 3-4 inches across) with gardenia like fragrance in mid summer. Not only are the flowers attractive but the foliage is a standout! Leaves are bright apple green in color that are smooth in texture highlighted with a broad creamy white edge. An added bonus is its great vigor. (Plant 22x18) Apple green heart-shaped leaves with a wide, irregular yellow to cream margin. Large, fragrant white flowers. A Paul Aden introduction.
