Info40" tall. Light Shade.
This is one of the most unique hosta we have seen.
A large, narrow and extremely elongated green leaf.
This incredible hybrid of H. montana ssp. macrophylla has the same huge deeply veined green leaves that arch outward on graceful 3' stalks. A mature clump should reach 5' in width. In late spring, the clumps are topped with stalks of white flowers...MAGNANIMOUS!
H. 'Jade Cascade' was the winner of two of the top awards at the 1996 American Hosta Society convention in Portland.
A cross with the pleating and glossiness of the Hirao strain and the immense size and ruffled edges of H. montana macrophylla. Leaves 21" long and 8" wide petiole up to 32" long.
Winner of the 1996 AHS Pauline Banyai Award & the David Van Fleet Award and best of Section in the cut-leaf show. This fascinating cross captured the pleating and glossiness of the Hirao strain and the immense size and ruffled edges of Hosta montana 'Praeflorens'. Leaves can be up to 21" long and 8" wide. Petioles are up to 32" long giving a "Krossa-Regal" habit going up and then cascading down.
A new look in Hosta.
The long, upright petioles will reach nearly 3', from which cascades the glossy green leaves which will become nearly 2' long and 8" wide. 1996 Pauline Banyai Award and David Van Fleet Award.
Unusual in that it has an upright habit, with large, cascading green leaves, 18-20" long. A montana 'Praeflorens' hybrid.
