An outstanding H. sieboldiana hybrid. Wide blue-green margins with a very distinctive center of soft green and mottled creamy white. Colors are more subtle than H. 'Great Expectations' and it seems to be a more vigorous grower. Flowers soft lavender. Very rare in cultivation.
Very rare and not easily found: a H. sieboldiana hybrid from New Zealand with wide blue-green margins and a very distinctive center that starts out yellow and goes through a series of changes until it becomes white with green veins. A third color of medium green is evident early on where the center and margin overlap. The clump grows slowly but steadily and will be topped with white flowers in midsummer. We have had originator's stock for several years and now are offering tc's, both did not show variegation the first year but did emerge variegated the second year, a phenomenon we cannot explain. This is truly a unique plant that will hold your interest.
