Info | ='Lamp Post Blue'. This large hosta is an open-pollinated seedling from H. 'Sagae', hybridized and grown in the garden of Beverly and Dave Stegeman. The original clump which has been divided many times, is currently 21" high and 36" wide. The broadly-ovate leaves are deeply lobed, thick-substanced, exhibit a slight waviness, moderate underside bloom, and whose average dimensions are 11" wide and 13" long. The leaves show a nice aqua-blue coloration and have some corrugation. Given its H. 'Sagae' parentage, if left undisturbed, it can very likely match its mother plant's monster-sized dimensions. Pale lavender flowers are produced from mid-July into early August. |
