Info | Q & Z Nursery sport of 'Erie Magic'; striking contrast between leaf margin and center; excellent container plant and useful as a ground cover or specimen plant in the landscape. Hosta 'Prairie Magic' is indeed a good sport when it comes to hostas. H. 'Prairie Magic' is a sport of H. 'Erie Magic', which is a sport of H. 'Midwest Magic', which is a sport of H. 'Prairie Glow', and so forth and so on. Imagine gardening and sports...together again. In other words, expect a 4' clump of shiny medium green leaves, each bordered with a very wide band of creamy white. Expect the stunning clumps to be topped with 30" tall scapes of lavender flowers in July. |
