A brilliant gold with wide white margin.
This is a great new release... a white edged H. 'Sea Fire'. It emerges brilliant gold in spring with a wide white edge. As the season progresses, the older leaves turn green, while the new growth is brilliant yellow. The white edge really sets off this new gem! The 2' wide clump is topped with lavender flowers in summer.
Medium size. Choice.
Bright yellow leaves with white margins that fade green and repeat in the new leaves so that there's different colored leaves happening on the same plant.
A white edged form of 'Sea Fire', with brilliant yellow leaves in spring, turning green in the summer, with yellow new growth.
Brilliant yellow leaves with a white edge. Lovely two-tone effect in summer when older leaves are green and new ones yellow. 18" tall. Different. Lavender flowers in July. One of our brightest new Hostas. Morning sun is best.
The foliage emerges bright yellow with a pure white margin in the spring. The centers of first leaves then fade to green but the summer flush is again yellow, producing both green and yellow leaves both bordered in white, on the same plant at the same time.
The leaves emerge vivid yellow with white edges. As the season progresses, the yellow becomes soft green. However, the story doesn't end here. When the mid-season's new flush of growth comes with more vivid yellow foliage, the mixture of colors on this plant becomes simply spellbinding! Lavender flowers.
Medium, brilliant gold leaves with white edge, definitely a sparkler.
