InfoH. 'War Paint' (Naylor Creek Nursery) A fantastic sport of H. 'Niagara Falls'...large pointed and pie-crusted leaves emerge in the spring with a clear bright butter-yellow center surrounded by a dark green margin. The yellow center holds for a few weeks and then begins to darken…the process is not even and some portions turn chartreuse and others pale green. By mid June the center fades to a paler green than the margin and the show is over for the season. Topped with pale violet flowers late in the spring that are held well above the clump. Good substance and very vigorous.
A viridescent 'Niagara Falls' with irregular variegation
