Info | State Park Series. 'Whitefish Dunes' hails from a cross of 'Cinnamon Sticks' and pycnophylla and is a surprisingly strong grower. It has good fertility both ways for those interested in breeding, and carries some of its collection of good traits to its seedlings. If you are hybridizing and like the idea of red petioles combined with fascinating leaf shapes, you may not want to miss out on this one. For the curious, Whitefish Dunes is a state park in Jeff's home state of Wisconsin. Situated on the Door County Peninsula in the Northeast corner of the state, it protects the fragile dunes of the Lake Michigan shore. |
