InfoOP seedling of nigrescens 'Elatior'.
Larger very blue leaf, substance is like cardboard [Summers].
Another beauty from Alex, this is the legendary 'Wolf' named for another of his beloved dogs. Rumors have been around for a while about this one, and it made its first public appearance at Region One 2001.
This is really great plant from hosta pioneer and AHS Founder Alex Summers. 'Wolf' is a tall upright blue that may be a cross between one of the tardianas and 'Krossa Regal' Very good blue color in the spring, but equally nice as a dark shiny tardiana green late in the season after the wax has worn down. Strong veining and very formal leaves. This plant is named after another of the Honeysong Farm dogs called Wolf who passed away a few years ago. Excellent prospects as a pollen parent but so far has not set pods.
