| Info | ='Kuro'. JN:Kuro Giboushi="black hosta", a reference to the dark new shoots. Alex J. Summers Distinguished Merit Award 1997 (Clyde Crockett). Grey/green, very upright habit. The tallest flower scapes of any hosta we've seen (7-8' is possible in a mature clump). Pale lavender flowers in August. This is the parent of 'Krossa Regal'. Ashy grey over dark blue green above, glaucous underneath. Leather leaves in a vase shaped clump. Near white flowers on 60" scapes. Large, ashy grey vase shaped clumps. 6-7 foot bloom scapes. Specimen. 40-90% shade. Ashy gray-blue, upright habit w/arching but erect leaves, heavy texture; white flwrs. Large upright, vase-shaped plants with gray-green, leathery leaves, slightly cupped. Pale lavender flowers in mid-summer. A mature clump can have flowers up to 5-7' tall and is truly magnificent. Lavender flowers. Ashy gray leaf, upright habit. Choice! Tall bloom scapes bear soft lavender flowers. Large, handsome plant, bluish-green to green, cupped and corrugated leaves, bloom scape grows to five feet. A species. |
