| Info | ='Tardiflora'. JN: Aki Giboushi. 12" tall. Light shade. Dark green shiny lance shaped leaves. A stiffly upright clump. 0-90% shade. Thick leathery leaves are slug resistant. Slightly wavy. Violet flowers with yellow anthers in October. Fertile. Small, shiny green, narrow lance shaped leaf. This miniature late flowering hosta has shiny deep green glossy, lance shaped leaves, a nice tight clump, red petioles, and medium lavender flowers in very late summer. The debate rages as to its species status... possibly a subspecies of H. longipes... still considered one of the finest, both for garden use and in hybridizing. Stiff, leathery dark green leaves with pale purple flowers late in the season. Light green, thick clump. Written as both a species and cultivar, there is a nomenclature dispute on the status of this dark green plant with leathery, lance-shaped leaves. Upright growth habit. Lavender-pink flowers. Small creeping rhizomes, lance shape, dark green, upright growth, flowers in September, lavendar pink. Satiny dark green; thick, lanceolate, flat blade; upright; red scapes. |
