Info | Alex J. Summers Distinguished Merit Award 2004 (Bob Olson). Dark green, shiny, ovate/triangular leaves. Leaf sides slope downward while twisted tip turns upward. Small undulations on margin. Lavender flowers on 18" scapes. Dark green leaves with a satiny-sheen, interesting mound of upward twisted and pointed leaves; lavender flowers. The dark, satin green leaves have a unique upward and twisted point. One of Benedict's best. 'Bridegroom' is a small 8 x 10 inch R.H. Benedict hybrid with small dark green leaves with a satiny sheen. The petiol and center part of the leaf extends upwards while the sides of the leaf blade slope downward. This is a unique hosta and the first of it's kind. Sold at 92 auctions for $500 and $200. Satiny dark green; triangular; twisted tip; rippled margin. |
