We first saw this rapid grower at the AHS Convention in Ann Arbor, MI, the rounded golden-yellow leaves have some cupping and corrugation while exhibiting good substance. The clump is topped with medium lavender flowers in midsummer which make a wonderful contrast.
Hosta 'Goldee' was placed in several gardens here in Indiana in 1997 for trial study of its performance. Based upon its performance here at Dogwood Farm and the reports from our trial gardens, we think it has excellent potential as an all-gold landscape small hosta. A hybrid cross of H. 'Zounds' and H.
