Yellow to chartreuse with some darker shading. White undersides.
Striking, unusual gold-leaved plant introduced by Hideko Gowen of Minnesota: excellent as a specimen plant.
This delightful, gold-leaved hosta makes a 3' wide x 18" tall clump (size incorrect in Hosta registry) of round, cupped, leathery, golden foliage with a unique twisty point to the leaves. The heavily waxed leaves give a white appearance to the back of the foliage. Although the leaves emerge chartreuse green, they brighten to a brilliant golden yellow that holds until frost. In midsummer, the clumps are topped with light lavender flowers...simply one of the best gold leaf hostas that we grow.
