Info | Glossy green narrow leaves; white flowers on a dark burgundy scape. Glossy green leaves, broadly lanceolate, contrast nicely with the burgundy base of the petioles and the dark burgundy flower scape. A real dandy! White flowers. This H. longipes hybrid from Alex Summers has always been a standout in our garden for late season interest. The large pointed and shiny, tropical looking, green leaves arch outwards to form a 30" wide clump. In late summer, the clumps are topped with lavender flowers on 18" tall scapes. One of our most slug-proof Hostas owing to its H. longipes parentage. Leathery, pointed and shiny leaves have a pleasant arching habit. Flowers in late summer with lavender flowers on dark, dramatic burgundy, 18" tall flowerscapes. Dark green leaves and lavender flowers. |
