InfoA fascinating new offering from fast-rising hybridizing star Alttara Scheer, 'Maya Tritone' offers an appearance never seen before in hostas. An attractive rich chartreuse base color is punctuated by brighter yellow veins to create a subtle striped look to the leaves. 'Maya Tritone' has been the subject of a lot of talk wherever it has been seen, including the last First Look meeting, where they had trouble deciding which class it belonged in. It's a winner, with a fast growth rate putting up leaves throughout the season, and expected to reach a medium size. It does set some viable seed, but is not a heavy setter. A plant for all those who thought hostas were starting to all look the same.
