Info | Alex J. Summers Distinguished Merit Award 1982 (Alex Summers). 15" tall. Light Shade. Heart shaped dark green leaves. Medium lavender flowers in June. Makes a very nice mound with many tightly spaced flower stalks. A perfect companion is 'Birchwood Parky's Gold'. A very dense and compact clump. Leaves green above, glaucous below. Slightly cupped with some crimping between veins on older leaves. Light lavender to near white flowers. Fast multiplier. Fertile. Award winning small plant with blue grey leaves. Another oldie but goodie... one of the best all purpose hostas, especially for edging. This nice medium size symmetrical hosta is surrounded with perfectly spaced rounded grey green leaves, forming an attractively symmetrical rosette. In late spring, the clumps are topped with prolific sprays of lavender flowers to 36". Heart-shaped solid green leaves;an abundance of light lavender flowers. Forms a dense mound of bluish-green, heart-shaped leaves. Very floriferous. Winner of the Alex J. Summers Award 1982 (Alex Summers). Lavender flowers. A compact plant ideal for the smaller garden especially noted for its profuse bloom. Lavender blossoms are produced mid summer on top of the blue green heart shaped foliage. The leaves grow very dense and compact. The flower buds are distinctive and ball shaped. Large plants send up many scapes and when this plant is in full bud stage, these many scapes with the numerous ball shaped flower buds resembles pearls. Vigorous grower. |
