InfoThis huge sieboldiana type hosta was a first from an early complex cross. Again, that unknown tardiana type I bought and called 'Pearl Lake' plays a large role in this cross which is (not PL x sieboldiana 'Elegans') x (not PL x 'Blue Dimples'). The pollen parent is in fact 'Catherine Ann'. Anyway, the quiet lilly pad filled pond the overlapping leaves inspire are interupted by the slight rippling along the leaf edge. This suggested the name. This one takes a fairly long time to mature. And, once it has you will be unwilling and unable to cut through the dense jungle of divisions that crowd the crown of this plant. But, that is ok since the more divisions in the crown the more majestic the hosta becomes. So, let it live in its quiet sublimity.
