Upright, large. Blue-green to medium green corrugated sieboldiana type rippled, wavy, unusual texture. Found in a New England garden in the 1930's, seed offered.
In 1968, named by Mrs. Frances Williams. Introduced by Donahue H. Smithers.
Peter Ruh says he got his plant from Sturdevant Estate in New England in 1930.
Also says the correct spelling is Sturdevant: Alex Summers supplied the seed in 1968,
American Hosta Guide spells it 'Sturdevant from Donahue' [Lemke]
