Info | A very nice large, medium green with creamy gold margin. Nile-green leaves with broad white margins, similar to H. 'Shade Fanfare'. From West Coast plantsman Chet Tompkins comes this attractive specimen. In spring, the rounded chartreuse green leaves with a wide dramatic white border make an attractive 3' wide clump. In late spring, the clumps are topped with scapes of lavender flowers. Nile-green leaves with broad white margins. Similar to H. Shade Fanfare, but a more vigorous plant. Lavender flowers. Forming a tight, compact, very symmetrical clump, this cultivar exhibits heart shaped leaves of chartreuse-green encased with a wide creamy white border. This is a very "finished" type of hosta. Everything about it is pleasing to the eye. 'Old Gold Edge'/'Cemetery One' and 'Cynthia' are strong in its background. It takes a good deal of sun here without complaint, and in stronger sun the centers of the leaves often take on a golden hue. Sibling to 'Snowbound'. |
