| Info | 14" tall. Part Sun to Light Shade. Small to medium clump of cupped and puckered rounded gold leaves. White fragrant flowers in late June or July. Resembles a gold 'Tokudama' but is more heat tolerant and a faster grower. A 'Sweet Susan' by 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa' cross. A special hosta. This amazing new hybrid from Bob Solberg is a cross of H. 'Sweet Susan' x 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa'. The results: a vigorous new golden "tokudama" hosta with golden foliage and fragrant flowers... a true breakthrough! The rounded corrugated leaves emerge green and become more golden as the season progresses. The 2' wide clump is topped with fragrant white flowers in early summer in NC. Cupped and puckered, rounded gold leaves; white fragrant flowers. Rounded chartreuse leaves that are cupped and puckered. It looks like a small to medium gold 'Tokudama' but it has white fragrant flowers in July and it grows! A winning hosta, this has about everything you could want in a hosta: rich gold coloring, excellent substance, attractive seersuckering to rounded leaves, topped with fragrant white flowers. |
