InfoAn outstanding new plant from under-the-radar hybridizer Rick Goodenough. Rick is carrying on the tradition of great hosta hybridizing in Massachusetts that was begun by the likes of Kevin Vaughn, Bill and Eleanor Lachman, and Mildred Seaver. This is his best intro to date and is one anyone, even the legendary hybridizers would be happy to have as their own. Here's Rick's own description: "'Tuxedo' is an awesome garden plant out of ‘Fascination’ and sieboldiana ‘Elegans’. It’s jacket (border) is a wide swath of very dark blue green with a white shirt (center) and a chartreuse/gold cummerbund (third color sandwiched in between center and border). Only one division has been allowed to leave the garden to date. The large mother plant at 6 years old spans about 5’ wide and stands 26"-28" tall. Tapered leaves are held up high and are approximately 6" wide and 8"-9" long."
