Info | This 1998 cross of Hosta venusta x Hosta 'Dorset Blue' resulted in one of our all-time favorite selections that we christened H. 'Gemstone'. Hosta 'Gemstone' makes a vigorous-growing, but small 5" tall x 1' wide clump of narrow H. venusta -like blue leaves. In midsummer, the clumps are topped with short 10" spikes of lavender flowers. If you like small valuable hostas, add a 'Gemstone' to your garden. This has not been tissue-cultured. |
