Info | PP23598, CAPBR4947. SHADOWLAND® Collection. Very nice sport from H. 'Eskimo Pie' with a much wider blue-green border than it's parent. The creamy-yellow center is exquisite and somewhat irregular which adds interest. Fairly vigorous grower that makes a nice open clump that will be topped with near-white flowers midsummer. 'Hudson Bay' is an improved form of the attractive but not easily grown 'Eskimo Pie'. We have to confess we couldn't get anywhere with the latter, but this plant is exactly what you want from a white-centered 'Elegans'! Wide blue margins surround a creamy white center, filling a notch in the hosta world that needed filling. There are a few white-centered blues, but this will be the biggest one to date. |
