| Info | ='Nakaima'. ='Nakhima'. Also see 'Nameoki'. Introduced from Japan in the USA before 1939. Powdery green above, shiny below. Sharply pointed, undulating. Flower buds are ball shaped . Flowers are pinkish lavender. Likes shade but dislikes ground covers underneath. Large sized pointed, light green leaves. Rounded, heart-shaped green leaves. Excellent for mass plantings, it is very vigorous, multiplies rapidly, and is very floriferous. Lavender flowers. Name has been incorrectly used for H. nakaiana, a much smaller plant (6-7vp). |
