| Info | Impressive species makes a large clump with very heavy bloom scapes; purple flrs. A species plant that forms a large, spreading mound 3' or more across and 1½-2' high. Leaves are glossy, medium green, slightly wavy. Flowers are purple-violet on very tall scapes. Elongated leaves are a shiny dark green with slightly undulating leaf margins and are held horizontally. Petioles are speckled with dark purple. Prefers a heavy, moist clay soil. Extremely thick scapes hold the dense flower heads of light purple. Medium large vase-shaped plant. Leaves green with shiny underside. A must for the collector. Vase shaped with shiny green leaves and purple dotted petioles. Pale violet flowers on purple dotted scapes. Fertile.
