InfoH. 'Big Hobber' came to Kathie Sisson labeled as H. 'Paul's Glory'. Since it didn't look like any other hosta she had in her garden at the time, she planted it and watched it grow, and GROW, and GROW. It didn't take Kathie long to figure out it was a larger, narrow-edged form of 'Sagae'. Kent Terpening encouraged her to enter her mystery marvel in First Look. Kathie told Kent that the clump was much too big, so he encouraged her to simply put it in a bigger pot. Laughing, Kathie remarked that such a pot did not exist. In honor of Kent (the originator of a small hosta called H. 'Little Hobber'), and in gratitude for his kind guidance and friendship, Kathie named it 'Big Hobber'.
