Found as a sport of Hosta 'Lancifolia' in the garden of Robert Schaeffer in 1960, later named by Alex Summers [MZ].
Long, narrow, chartreuse leaves with a dark green border.
Medium lavender flowers in August. Very prolific.

May turn all green in Summer. Tolerates sun.

Upright, lanceolate, chartreuse-centered, green edged leaves, turning green in summer.
A bright addition to spring, these glossy thin textured leaves have a chartreuse to dull gold center with a narrow dark margin. Mid-summer color transitions to solid green. Lance shaped leaves (6"x3") taper to a fine point producing a thick neat mound. A good pick for edging or ground cover. 14"x28". Blooms dark lavender. Shade to 3/4 sun. Growth rapid. Lovely yellow-centered cathayana.
