Round leaves are glaucous with white backs, heavily substanced, and stay green well into fall. The cinnamon red petiole extends well onto the top of the leaf blade.
Wonderful, low-growing cultivar that has long intrigued collectors for its dark red scapes; makes a great rock garden subject, edger or low ground cover in the landscape; hybrid of H. longipes hypoglauca x 'Maruba Iwa' from Roy Herold.
