Finally, we have enough to share of this Eleanor Lachman introduction, which we coveted (a secret just between you and me) after visiting her Massachusetts garden in 1998. The 2' wide clump is composed of thick, cupped, blue leaves, each highlighted by a large round creamy pattern in the center of each leaf. In late spring, the clump is topped with a 2' stalk of pale lavender flowers.
