InfoThis cross of H. 'Don Stevens' x H. 'Sea Octopus' is an improvement on the latter.
Long, narrow undulating dark green leaves with minimal petiole forms a marvelous mound, lighter green summer flush has hidden red petioles, lavender striped blooms
with transparent margins look spider-like, rapid grower, stoloniferous, fertile.
This [H.'Don Stevens' x H.'Sea Octopus'] hybrid has all of the great characteristics of each of it's parents. Dark green long and narrow heavily rippled leaves, with intensely red petioles form a 9' high by 25' wide clump quickly! Viable green seed pods with red spots form on 36 inch flower scapes with intensely red bases. From the breeding program of Charlie Seaver, registered in 1996 and not widely available. If you have a nautical theme hosta bed, you must posses this plant!
